Fish Show Rules

Show is open to all. MCA membership is not required.

Entry fee is $3.00 per entry. An entry is one fish. Only one fish may be shown per tank.

No limit to the number of entries per person.

The MCA will provide air, airline, and air valves for each show exhibit. Spongefilters will be provided for tanks 5 ½ gallons and larger.

The exhibitor will provide the TANK, show fish and "special purpose" sponge filters (for tanks smaller than 5 ½ gallons).

Dechlorinated water will be available on site.

The MCA will provide tables for containers 29 gallons or 30 inches maximum.
-
Any exhibit over 29 gallons or 30 inches; exhibitor will provide the stand.

Containers must have a flat viewing side.
-
Containers will be bare except for air-stones and air driven filters.
-
Containers will have a bare or solid background.
- All containers must be covered securely to prevent jumpers.

No sprays, window cleaners or other chemicals will be permitted in the show area.

Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Best of Divisions A,B,C. Best of Show, People's Choice.

The MCA reserves the right to disqualify fish based on deformities, illness, poor condition, health or death.

The show room hours are as follows: Friday 12 pm to midnight; Saturday 8am to 4pm and re-opens after Award Dinner until midnight; Sunday 8am to 5pm.

All entries must be setup by 2pm Saturday, Sept. 27.

Judging will take place on Sept.27 at 3pm. The decision of the Judges are final.
